Tim, I'm planning a Skynyrd/Elvis/Buford Pusser road trip next summer. Planning on hitting Jonesboro, The Fox Theatre, Muscle Shoals Sounds Studio, McNairy County then Memphis.

Any particular points of interest you'd suggest checking out along the way?

Go to the alabama music hall of fame, go find FAME Studio, Go see the site of the old Studio One in Doraville Ga. it is in the Oakcliff Industrial Park, no longer exists, look up oakcliff on Map Quest,

Look on Al Koopers website and it tells you where the house is where sounds of the south was located, go to the birth place in Tupelo, Go see Stax when your in Memphis, Throw in some Martin Luther King in Memphis and go see the Lorraine Motel, go to Sun Studio. In Shoals see if there is still a place called Blues Truck stop where Skynyrd Stayed when they were struggling, Have Fun! Tell Buford's grave I said hello. Tim Wilson

Sounds good, thanks for the info..this will be a fun trip. Hated to find out Studio One was no longer there, great history. That's like tearing down Graceland to put up another Walmart. I'll be sure to give your regards to Buford and tell everybody I meet that Tim sent me.
